Editor’s note

The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is the ultraportable end of Lenovo's mainstream business range, and this Intel version leans on Lunar Lake to do it. The Core Ultra 5 228V is an 8-core chip whose defining trait is efficiency — and whose 48 TOPS NPU is nearly four times what Intel's H-series offers, making this a full Copilot+ PC.

The build is where ThinkPad loyalty comes from. A carbon-fibre lid over an aluminium body brings it to 1.28kg at 16.9mm thick, and it still has the keyboard and TrackPoint that make these machines pleasant to type on for hours. The 14-inch 1920×1200 anti-glare IPS panel covers 100% sRGB in a useful 16:10 shape, there is a 3.7MP webcam with IR for Windows Hello, and connectivity is current with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. A 58Wh battery paired with Lunar Lake's efficiency makes genuinely long unplugged sessions realistic.

The trade-offs come with the platform. Lunar Lake integrates memory into the processor package, so the 16GB here is soldered and permanent — plan your capacity at purchase. Integrated Intel Arc 130V graphics are capable for a thin machine but are not a gaming or rendering solution. There is no Ethernet port and no SD card reader, so docking is over USB-C. And the panel is 60Hz, which is a curious omission on a 2025-generation premium laptop.

One naming warning: a ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 also exists with AMD Ryzen AI and with Snapdragon silicon, and they are different machines. This page describes the Intel Lunar Lake version.

Buy it if you travel, type a lot, and want long battery life with business manageability. Skip it if you need more than 16GB, want discrete graphics, or require built-in Ethernet.
