The Dell Pro 7 14 is the everyday workhorse in Dell's rebranded commercial range, aimed squarely at the fleet buyer who wants a light machine with proper ports and does not need a halo specification. At 1.27kg with a chassis that tapers from about 16.5mm to 14.7mm, it is comfortable to carry without feeling fragile.
What sets it apart from cheaper business laptops is connectivity and expansion. Thunderbolt and USB4 support means a single-cable dock works properly, there are still two USB-A ports for the accessories offices actually own, and memory runs to 64GB. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 are current, and the 70Wh battery with 100W charging is generous for a 14-inch machine — noticeably larger than the Pro 14 Premium above it in the range.
The Core Ultra 5 322 is a six-core part, which is where expectations need setting. It is efficient and perfectly capable of documents, browsers, video calls and light photo work, but it will not keep pace with the eight- and sixteen-core machines elsewhere in this list under sustained load. Intel's Xe3 graphics here are a two-core configuration, the entry tier, so this is not a machine for video work.
The display is a 14-inch 1920 x 1200 anti-glare panel. Dell does not publish a colour coverage figure for it, and that omission usually tells you something.
Buy it if you want a light, well-connected business laptop with a big battery and room for memory, for mainstream office work. Skip it if you need real processing power, do anything colour-critical, or want the fastest machine your budget allows.
